As a Systems Programmer :-
Managed a large-scale IMS system containing 500 databases, 1000 different
transactions,12,000 terminals at 4 UK sites and a transaction rate of up
to 20 per second.
Installed and maintained IMS over many releases, together with associated
software, such as ADF, BTS and IMSPARS.
Designed and implemented modifications for IMS to support non-standard
hardware and software, and automated operations.
Installed, maintained and managed DB2, QMF, CICS, MVS/AS, Office Vision,
IEF and other software products under MVS.
Installed, maintained and managed the VM operating system, together with
RACF, VTAM, RSCS, SQL/DS, QMF, PROFS, CATIA & CAEDS.

As a Programmer :-
Designed and coded ASSEMBLER language programs in the Batch environment
including General Purpose Utilities, Systems Monitoring, Statistics Gathering
and Reporting and Automated Operations.
Designed and coded ASSEMBLER language programs in the IMS, CICS, ISPF, and
native VTAM environments (including LU 6.2).
Have an in-depth knowledge and programming experience of VSAM files, DL/1,
DB2 and Sybase databases.
Converted a suite of Assembly language application programs from Macro Level
CICS to Command Level CICS in order to run under CICS/ESA.
Can program in SQL, REXX (MVS and VM), COBOL, FORTRAN and BASIC.
   Some knowledge of HTML, Java, JavaScript and Smalltalk

As a Database Administrator :-
Responsible for the physical and logical design, performance monitoring and
DASD space management of large DL/1 (Full Function and Fast Path), DB2 and
Sybase databases.
Responsible for the integrity of DL/1, DB2 and Sybase databases, and for the
creation and automatic scheduling of Image-Copy, Reorg, and Integrity
Analysis jobs.

UNDERLYING SKILLS
Totally conversant with JCL, IBM Utilities, TSO, ISPF, VSAM.
Experienced with Endevor and Infoman.
